Extended work on Final

I have been researching glossary words for both groups of girls which it has been a successful outcome. I have found at least three glossary words that define the girls from Shibuya and two glossary words for the Harajiku girls.  What I am thinking of doing is making the words into a retro collage for the background. The definitions of the two groups really defines them and it will be easy for me to find wardrobe to dress my manikins.  I have also been taking many pictures and I will make print outs of the pictures and make a collage with the glossary words. I will be using a lot of colors to make my part of the project to get people's attention.

My Final Project

My project will be called Project Runway Tokyo Style, and it will explore the fashion world of SHibuya and Harajiku. There are two main groups of girls I will focus my topic on how they differ and compare. The main outlook of this project is to open the minds of those who only know about New York fashion or etc. This project will not only have pictures and information, but two mankins dressed as the Shibuya girls, and the other as the Harajiku girls. I will also make this project more into a glossary of names that are referred to the girls they call in Shibuya and in Harajiku. People can get more of an idea of how fashion in Japan is an important aspect of Japanese girl's lives.

This project will have images of the women in Shibuya, and photos of their entire wardrobes. I will also get the hang out spots they usually hang out and the hours they stay in the streets of Shibuya. The girls in Harajiku will be photographed as well and I will take photos of their hang out spots and their whereabouts throughout Harajiku.

The manikins will be on the opposite side of each other and the projects information and photos will be in the middle of the two manikins. One of the manikins will have similar clothing like the Shibuya girls and the other manikin as the Harajiku girls. The manikins will also have the fake hair that the actual girls wear and the make up as well.

Life Experiences teenagers go through living in Japan

For many Americans living in Japan find it difficult to adapt, but for some teenagers are very easy to get accustomed to it. I want to know why and how teenagers find it easier to adapt to Japan then adults. I want to know is it because of the clubs, fashion, site seeing, and because of how safe it is. I will do research on many American teenagers and ask them questions on thier adaptions toward Japan

Suicide

Japan is very popular for group suicides, and many people that are not from Japan want to know why Japanese are known for this. I want to find out who starts the clubs and why, and I want to research the percentage of year group suicides and where are they most commonly done at.

Fashion

As everyone might already know that Japan is one of the most leading countries of fashion. But there are areas of Japan that most people only hear about, but do not actually know what goes on in the streets of Harajiku, Shibuya, and Ikebukuro. I want to explore unknown areas that people do not know about and scope out fashion that stands out the most. I want to compare the differences between the Japanese girls that dress with gothic clothes and the girls that are super tan and have colorful hair. I want to make this presentation as interesting as possible. So that means I will have to investigate the people with such atires.
